National Medical College was founded to impart need-based education to the bottom-of-the-pyramid. Currently, we see a huge gap between developed India and under-developed/developing India and the same stands true for the healthcare sector as well. While on one hand we promote healthcare tourism, wherein foreigners come to our country for economical and effective treatment. However, in rural India sometimes the villages get deprived of even the health sub centers. NMICC aims at building a cadre of highly skilled professionals called ‘health friends’. It is an endeavor to contribute towards the attainment of Health for All and to help in achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
